Tool Belt for Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen

By 28-10-2020

Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, the first art depot in the world that is accessible for the public and designed by MVRDV, is currently being constructed in Museumpark, Rotterdam and will open fall 2021. In the last weekend of September 2020 visitors were able to view the empty building during an exclusive opening before it will be filled with more than 151.000 artworks.

For this Silver Opening of Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, AnoukxVera designed and developed a unique silver Tool Belt that was worn by the employees that guided the visitors through the Depot. Anouk and Vera inhaled the raw and otherworldly atmosphere and translated the futuristic and graphic elements into a recognizable design.

The Tool Belts were made from leftover material from the Susan Bijl bags that were also especially developed for the Silver Opening. Keep an eye on the social media page of museum Boijmans van Beuningen (@Boijmans) to have a chance of wining a silver Tool Belt.
