Van Eesteren Museum

The Van Eesteren Museum in Amsterdam New West began as a neighborhood initiative and grew into a museum that tells the story of urban planning and architecture in Amsterdam.

Since 2010, the museum highlights the history and development of the neighborhood, originally designed according to the General Expansion Plan of 1935, under the leadership of Cornelis van Eesteren, Jakoba Mulder and their team. With a varied program, the museum brings the principles of urban planning to life. Located at the Sloterplas, the museum fulfills an essential role in the preservation of urban heritage.
