Wim Crouwel Instituut
The activities of the Wim Crouwel Institute for Graphic Design and Typography Heritage consist mainly of promoting research and education, public presentations and publications in the field of the rich heritage of graphic design and typography. Its embedding in the University of Amsterdam is of great importance.
Two activities developed by the WCI are since 2016 the so-called fellowship (from the beginning until her death filled by Frederike Huygen and from mid-2024 by Richard Niessen and Kylièn Bergh). And since 2021 the Wim Crouwel Chair in which Alice Twemlow was appointed Extraordinary Professor at the University of Amsterdam.
