Jack Brandsma (1969) studied as an interior architect at the Minerva Academy in Groningen (1992-1997) and as a product designer at the Royal College of Art in London (1999-2001). During his studies in Groningen, he worked for Piet Hein Eek for a year (1995-1996). He was in London at the time when Ron Arad was course director of Design Products at the RCA, the programme in which he had combined Furniture Design and Industrial Design into a single new programme. After a long period in which his teaching position at the Minerva Academy was his main job, he is now focusing on his own practice again.
