Jeremy Jansen designed the catalog The Best Dutch Book Designs 2024. He explains his design: “The inspiration came from The Fairburn System of Visual Reference, with its absurd yet wonderful ambition to document every possible angle of a movement, object, or gesture. There is something obsessive and strangely poetic about the idea that you can fully understand something by capturing it from all angles.”
To bring that idea to life, Jansen chose The Book Photographer (Justina Nekrasaite). “This book is not about perfection. It’s about the process. About representation. And about the strange but sincere ambition to do justice to books through another book.”
The catalog was printed by NPN Printing, RaddraaierSSP, robstolk®, Wilco Art Books, Pascal Walters, and Saen Screen. The binding was done by Van Hees – Patist Boekbinders and Boekbinderij Abbringh.
The interior is printed on Holmen TRND Vintage, supplied by Igepa. The linen is Brillianta, supplied by Van Heek Textiles.
