Dementia-App

Harm Hasenaar: “After a period of two years in which we began to notice changes in my mother’s behavior, the neurologist told us: Your mother has Alzheimer’s. We wanted to do something about it to support my mother and anyone confronted with Alzheimer’s.”

“People with dementia need, among other things, a daily rhythm and a structured life. With the dementia-App, family caregivers can keep track of the user’s agenda from a distance. Video calling is a simple way to have regular contact. It is also possible – on site or remotely – to browse a photo album with fond memories together or play a game. Through digital magazines, the app provides, among other things, information about dementia, care and research.”

“People with dementia can go on living at home longer if they are adequately supported by informal care and technology. The dementia-App is designed to complement the physical assistance of caregivers to people with dementia.”
