ONE WEEK ABOUT Driving Dutch Design by curators Patrick Aarts Sen (BNO) and Katja Lucas (DDF)

Driving Dutch Design is the professionalisation and networking programme of Beroepsorganisatie Nederlandse Ontwerpers (BNO), Dutch Design Foundation (DDF) and Stichting Stokroos that helps talented designers get started in the world of entrepreneurship. Over the next few days, we show the Drivers of 2023Joost Corvers is one of them.

Studio Corvers is an architectural design studio from ‘s-Hertogenbosch founded by Wouter and Joost Corvers. Two brothers who have shared a healthy appetite for building since childhood and do not shy away from impossible challenges.

We work at the intersection of design and architecture, deploying spatial design and materiality for social impact. In doing so, we always take into account specific groups of users and worlds of experience that we bring together. We study, research and explore new standards.

We manufacture each project entirely independently according to our “Design & Build” principle. This means that we are involved and responsible from research and design to construction and delivery. In doing so, where necessary, we seek crossover with organizations, stakeholders, specialists and experts from our network.

In this way, we offer new perspectives and make complex and urgent social issues such as the housing crisis, inclusion & diversity and water awareness insightful and discussable.
