Envisions is a design collective, founded by Simone Post, Sanne Schuurman and Iwan Pol, with an experimental working method that showcases everything but the end product. A collective of talented young designers with a focus on research related to color, materials and techniques.
As the realms of design and manufacturing converge and the designer increasingly takes on the role of both inventor and maker, production is also subject to change. Deconstruct and disrupt, reverse and reinvent: creatives seek to shake up the status quo by exploring previously undiscovered paths in the process.
The collection of work aims to offer new insights to different phases that would normally never be seen by the public’s eye. By revealing the step of the extensive research process that precedes a design’s final outcome, a climate for interaction is created. This setup is intended to trigger a dialogue between designers, clients and manufacturers who are encouraged to approach each project as a collaboration.
Envisions is looking for joint ventures with other companies to showcase the qualities of their distinctive approach, especially towards the established industry. After its debut in Milan and New York this year, the collective will present itself this year’s Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.
