Nowadays The Grafische Werkplaats in The Hague is organizing the bi-annual Analog Patterns. Festival Analog Patterns takes place until 16th June with exhibition, presentations, workshops and a participative part around the pattern theme.
Patterns are everywhere around us. We can see them in the shapes of a butterfly, in the light and dark bricks on the facade of a house, in a DNA string and in a print on a T-shirt. As human beings we are making patterns to be able to make connections, to give significance, to carry out identity & to decorate ourselves and our surroundings. The design of visual patterns is eminently within the field of graphic arts. The Grafische Werkplaats sheds light on the patterns theme in a broad, contemporary and interdisciplinary way.
The exhibition Analog Pattern in The Grafische Werkplaats with new work of Rachel Bacon, Suzan Drummen, Anne Geene, Christie van der Haak, Ingrid Greijn, Rabi Koria, Bureau RNDR, Masaaki Oyamada, Wouter Willebrands. Do you want to be active in the printshop? It’s possible! Sunday 10th June there is a workshop pattern and riso by Loes van Oosten and Monday 11th June a short workshop during Monday Printing Club.
