The Dutch designer Kiki van Eijk (1978) has over the past twenty years created an extensive oeuvre consisting of carpets, tapestries, lamps, glassware, furniture and sculptural aspects. Her imaginative form/visual language and great attention for tactility and skilled craftsmanship create a unique voice within Dutch Design. At the heart of Van Eijk’s manufacturing process lies her imagination, which she captures in drawings, sketches and textile collages.

The publication Imaginings by Kiki van Eijk is an ode to the imagination and shows an overview of Van Eijk’s existing oeuvre. Attention is also paid to the creation process of the products and also sketches and preliminary studies have been included. The textual contributions are by Suzan Russeler (curator Textile Museum), Lidewij Edelkoort (trend forecaster), Marc Mulders (painter) and Blaire Dessent (design journalist).
