ONE WEEK ABOUT Kaboom Animation Festival
The annual Kaboom Animation Festival – this year from 21 to 30 March in Utrecht, Amsterdam and online – presents the latest, most creative, innovative and daring (inter)national animation productions. Over the next few days, we show some of the Dutch participants, today Eddy Wu.
Eddy Wu
Eddy Wu (1999) is a Taiwanese 3D artist and animation filmmaker based in the Netherlands. His work delves into untold, deeply personal stories that speak to universal emotions. Working at the intersection of digital animation and human emotions, he explores themes of identity, vulnerability, and connection through poetic and immersive imagery. His work seeks to amplify voices often unheard, using the digital medium to reflect on the complexities of human experience.
In 2024, he earned a Master’s degree in Animation from MIVC St. Joost School of Art and Design. That same year, he was awarded the Animation Talent Award by the Keep an Eye Foundation, supporting the development of his next project.
