ONE WEEK ABOUT Kaboom Animation Festival

The annual Kaboom Animation Festival – this year from 5 to 14 April in Utrecht, Amsterdam and online – presents the latest, most creative, innovative and daring (inter)national animation productions. Over the next few days, we show some of the Dutch participants, today Nina Gantz.

Nina Gantz
Nina Gantz is a Dutch London-based Animation Director. She graduated from the National Film and Television School with her film ‘Edmond’ which received 38 awards including a BAFTA and the Sundance award for Best Animated Short.

Gantz currently works as a freelance director and is signed to the production company BlinkInk. Her new short stop-motion film, ‘Wander to Wonder’, is now showing at festivals around the world and has picked up several awards including Best Animated Short at SXSW. Nina’s love of tactile craft and her eye for enchanting visuals imbue her films with a charm that is rare to capture, often combining miniatures, puppetry and live action.
