Renate’s inspiration comes from travels through time and nature and is inextricably linked to her surroundings: she lives within the fortress of the medieval Loevestein Castle.

LOEV vase
Vases born from experiments with recycled cork, silicone, and pigments. LOEV is hand-cast and the untrimmed imperfections of the mold provide an exciting element to the vase. Though appearing hard and cold, they reveal a surprising softness. Rooted in Renate Vos’  life at Loevestein Castle, LOEV is inspired on the site’s excavations. It embodies transience, capturing memories of past times and transforming them into contemporary objects that connect history and material innovation.

GEM collectibles
The sculptural light objects merge cast stone, silicone, and LED into light-infused pieces where solidity meets softness. Each piece transforms stone into a bearer of light. The minimalist metal frames gracefully showcase the objects like the framing of a gemstone. Rooted in Renate Vos’ life at Loevestein Castle, inspiration comes from travels through time and nature. GEM echoes the sandstone with quartz fractures found along the rivers embracing the medieval fortress.
