ONE WEEK ABOUT Masterly – The Dutch in Milano by Nicole Uniquole, founder and curator of Masterly.

We are open! The 6th edition of Masterly has started. The big wooden doors of the palazzo have been waved open to the interested public that came to Milan this year. And this time for the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile. An anniversary event!

Over the past few months, via app and email, I’ve seen designers produce new objects, pass material research and create entire collections. And now everything beautifully presented at Masterly. Ready for the Salone, ready for the world.

The grand courtyard is the beating heart of Masterly. A vibrant networking place with a full program for participants, journalists, VIPs, architects, trend watchers and visitors. This is where business gets done!

From a festive sea of flowers of 1,000 orchids (Orchids Netherlands), Luca Boscardin’s colorful animals emerge. Heraldic tapestries by design firm 75B pay homage to Italian cities. Cooloo and Kullar present circular coatings on beautifully designed furniture. Spin around in Luc Zwinkels’ WoodCruise. Discover the story in Nancy Faas’ bronze sculptures. And marvel at the lightweight lamp sculptures by Atelier Robotiq. This makes the Grand Courtyard an impressive start to Masterly!
