Introducing Toon Lauwen. Toon Lauwen creates content for exhibitions, books, and iPhone/iPad apps. After graduating in architectural history at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, he started as an independent writer and curator, working mainly in the field of design, architecture and communication. He headed the Netherlands Archive of Graphic Design for five years. He has compiled exhibitions for NAi, Stedelijk Museum, Premsela Foundation and MOTI. His traveling exhibitions – A Roadshow of Dutch Graphic Design, Words and Images, Foreign Affairs of Dutch Design – were presented at venues throughout Europe, the US but also in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He has worked as a consultant for Philips Lighting Benelux, D66, Nieuwspoort, and Libelle. He has written, edited and published for Joost Elffers Books in New York, Phaidon, Thoth, 010 Publishers and woth.co
