ATAG, part of the ASKO Group, opened the ASKO Smart Lab x ATAG Live Experience Center on Thursday, March 13. Inside the HAUT building, one of the tallest wooden structures in the world. The HAUT building is located in the Somerlustpark in the Amstel Quarter and was designed by V Architectuur.
At this prestigious location, ATAG (ASKO Group) has created its creative center for testing and developing intelligent solutions for white goods equipment for professional and domestic use. The three main themes of the center are: the Creative Playground, the User Research Lab and the Innovation Center, where practical insights and ideas simplify the lives of future users.

The surface is layered with assigned functions. The largest space, with a height of 8 meters, is heavily inspired by Dutch design. The ASKO Smart Lab x ATAG Live Experience Center opened with an exclusive event where Sabine Marcelis presented her specially designed, 7.5-meter-high glass sculpture Beacon.
Beacon is not only an excellent spatial composition, but it also serves as a light source for passersby, as it can be seen from two sides like a lighthouse through the large glass corner windows.
