The step from designing and presenting at (graduation) exhibitions and design events, to successfully presenting and participating in purchasing fairs is a big one.
There is a lot involved in being well prepared to present your work at a trade fair. How do you price your product? How do you communicate your presence at a trade show? How does it work with purchase orders? What is the power of attending a trade show more often?
Trade Show showUP, design scout Wisse Trooster and design studio mo man tai have joined forces and are launching showUP college. Through master classes and feedback sessions, participants are prepared for participation in a b2b fair. In the 1.5-year program, they also participate three times in the showUP trade show.
The program is aimed at budding entrepreneurs who want to start b2b selling their, interior and gift, products and have been in business for no more than five years.
To make strides, the program takes a year and a half. Participants gain insights during master classes and prepare for trade show participation. This repeats itself three times so there is room for growth and improvement.
More information about the college and the application process can be found at www.showup.nl/college, applications close at the end of July and the program begins in September.
