Studio Job, design agency

Studio Job was established in 2000 by Job Smeets (1970) and Nynke Tynagel (1970) who both graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven. They specialise in decorative interior objects, mostly unique pieces. They describe their style as New Gothic. ‘Unlike most other designers, we do not go back to modernism. Studio Job’s contribution is that we have rediscovered a lost trail.’ In 2009, Studio Job Gallery was opened, an exhibition space for contemporary art and design in Antwerp. The Groninger Museum made a retrospective exhibition (2011-12) and Rizzoli New York published the monograph The Book of Job (2011).

The Louis Kalff Instituut is the Dutch heritage centre for industrial design, located in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
