In the historic heart of Delft, a consortium of the city’s cultural institutions has established a new center for the creative industry: The Prinsenkwartier, where art, design, technology, and cultural history meet in a diverse and unorthodox way.
An important starting point for the development of the visual identity by Silo was the historic surroundings and their meaning: the former Court of William of Orange. William was an ambitious nobleman (1533-1584) who grew into a rebel leader and was later honoured as the founder of a new Dutch state.
The design language of the identity is inspired by visual aspects of the buildings, fences and clothing from the time of William of Orange.
