Tweek-Eek launches Reform collection

Tweek-Eek

Without limits, Tweek-Eek introduces the Reform Collection where experimentation with new constructions, patterns and techniques has taken place. With boundless thought, this collection was created and the jewelry speaks for what Tweek-Eek stands for; high-quality yet affordable jewelry, locally produced that is ethically sourced and unique.

Realizing this ambition is no easy task. Whereas the Netherlands is rich in furniture metal factories and and thriving high-tech sector, it has no specific jewelry factories. Conscious choices thus determine Tweek-Eek’s path where time is the biggest constraint because time is crucial to remain affordable. The Reform collection has let go of time and not let size, weight, comfort or production time hold it back with the goal of creating something unique.

Reusing and transforming materials creates a raw, unpolished aesthetic that is distinctive. For example, earrings are made from pieces of aluminum where 100 small rounds were pressed into the material using a 60-ton press. These were then removed and carefully replaced and glued back one by one. Quite a job with an amazing end result. Normally these materials would be waste that have now been recycled into something valuable. One of the other new techniques is the combination of residual materials with hinges and bolts experimenting with tightly soldering screws.
