Unseen Amsterdam is the leading international art fair for contemporary photography. The 12th edition of Unseen Photo Fair takes place from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September 2024. Location as ever is the monumental Westergasfabriek grounds in Amsterdam.
Some 70 galleries from around the world, complemented by some 65 independent publishers, will show the latest developments in contemporary photography. There will also be a dozen presentations of work exploring the still-shifting boundaries of the photographic universe.
Unbound
For the fourth time, Unbound, the section focusing on research into the nature and material execution of photography, is also part of Unseen again. As ever, the presentation moves at the intersection of photography and other art forms such as installation art, sculpture, video and digital art and even landscape art.
Book Market
Some 65 independent publishers of photography publications are participating in Unseen’s Book Market this year. Not only do these publishers come from all parts of the world, but – after careful selection – they also strike a balance between experience and reputation on the one hand and rejuvenation and innovation on the other.
