IOIA is an Amsterdam / London based design studio, founded by Ionie Chamilaki and Titia Dane, both graduates from the Design Academy Eindhoven. They specialize in ‘miraculous’ designs and concepts. Working with explorative methods, IOIA creates contemporary designs, often using industrial materials.
VOLUME 02 is a jewellery collection made out of customized flock-coated foam. In collaboration with several industrial companies in the Netherlands, they produced unusual components to assemble into earrings and necklaces. The pieces are bright and voluminous, but ligth as a feather and therefore pleasant to wear. For the finishings there is an edition of personalized caps made from turned or milled aluminium, which is anodised to give them color. Each piece is assembled by hand.
