Design to Market – Talent Program. Over the coming weeks, Dutch Design Daily will be introducing the participants of 2025, today Jesse Paauwe.
Jesse Paauwe views the world around him with a fresh, inquisitive eye. As a graphic and spatial designer, he draws inspiration from everyday situations in public spaces. Together with fellow designer Stijn Ros, he runs Bomba design, a studio that operates at the intersection of communication, regulation and craftsmanship.

In his work, Jesse explores the fringes of what appears to be normal. In his final-year project, for example, he examined the proliferation of rules and road signs in the Dutch streetscape. Through playful interventions, he demonstrated how attempts at control can actually lead to confusion and chaos – and raised questions about how we organise public space.

Through Design to Market, Jesse wants to learn how to raise Bomba’s profile as a design agency. How do you tell a clear story without losing your sharp eye? And how do you continue to build a practice where critical thinking and entrepreneurship go hand in hand?
