Riëlle Schoeman

Riëlle Schoeman (1987) is founder of Studio Mockingbird (2014), an Arnhem-based agency that focuses on projects at the intersection of (fashion) design, culture and the creative sector. Riëlle is a connecting link in the creative industry and has played an important role in positioning Arnhem as a sustainable Fashion City over the past decades. With her studio, she is regularly involved in cultural institutions and museums and, among other things, develops the programme of Ontwerp Platform Arnhem.

Besides her work at Studio Mockingbird, Riëlle dedicates herself to the creative sector as vice-chairman at Ondernemers Kontakt Arnhem.

Opening Museum Arnhem – Studio Mockingbird acted as project manager for the reopening of Museum Arnhem. On 13 May 2022, the renewed doors were festively opened by mayor Ahmed Marcouch, museum director Saskia Bak and the city. The opening was framed by the performance ‘Earth’ by INTRODANS and movement artist Ruben Chi.

FDFA 10 years – Partly under her leadership, Fashion + Design Festival Arnhem (FDFA) grew in 10 years from a collection of small events to a firmly entrenched part of Arnhem’s fashion ecosystem, with strong collaborations and innovative initiatives.
Design Podcast Arnhem – In the second season of Design Podcast Arnhem, Riëlle enters into conversation with several designers including Ruud-Jan Kokke, Florentijn Hofman and Dana Dijkgraaf.
