Sybrand Zijlstra 

Sybrand Zijlstra (1961) graduated as a philosopher from Utrecht University. He then worked for the Dutch Form Foundation, the Vormgevingsinstituut and the Sandberg Institute, among others. He was also editor-in-chief of the BNO membership magazine Vormberichten (1990-2007), magazine for design Morf of the Premsela Foundation for Dutch Design (2004-2013), and a large number of other publications on design and other subjects, often commissioned by [Z]OO Producties, including the Roots series.

Since 2007 he has lived in Indonesia, where he works as a freelance copy editor of English-language scholarly articles for local clients.
