GLUE Amsterdam

The July is a conscious apartment-hotel, nestled on the waterfront in the Houthavens. Their laid-back charm and the dynamic mix of neighbours and travellers brew a perfect backdrop for Circular Hub during GLUE amsterdam, a series of design studios showcasing their innovative circular products. Come along and be charmed by creations from Circuform, i-did, Cantor x van Plestik, Resting Reef & Samira Boon.

Circuform
Circuform aims for a sustainable future without compromising on aesthetics or comfort. The collection consists of timeless designs using circular materials. By turning waste and renewable raw materials into products, Circuform contributes to a better world. Each product design is matched with the best available circular materials.

i-did
At the i-did Factory in The Hague, we recycle discarded (company) textiles into felt. From this felt, beautiful design products are made in our atelier by people who have never or never worked. From acoustic panels to wall coverings and decoration. Sustainable & social in every fibre.

Resting Reef
Resting Reef is a sustainable death care service that meaningfully commemorates past lives while fostering new life. They transform the ashes of the deceased into beautiful oyster reef memorial structures that regenerate marine biodiversity, capture carbon, filter water, and prevent coastal erosion. Resting Reef believes that death doesn’t have to be the final step in the journey, and giving back to nature in this way allows life to continue—both in memory and underwater.

Cantor circulair
Cantor is a brand of unique designer furniture from the Netherlands. We are experts and inspirers in creating sustainable business interiors. At Cantor, we believe in local craft, quality and in products that have a positive impact on the environment and the working environment.

vanPlestik
vanPlestik is a company on a mission: saving as much plastic as possible from incineration. vanPlestik has developed and built a 3D-printer that uses plastic waste as a raw material. Using these printers, we produce various products, from custom-made designs for a client to chairs, tables and lamps for your home. All from 100% recycled plastic.

Studio Samira Boon
Studio Samira Boon is a textile architecture studio based in Amsterdam and Tokyo. As experts in the material properties of textiles, the studio’s adaptive and interactive structures enhance the use and experience of spaces, acoustics, climate and energy efficiency. Commissioned by renowned companies, Studio Samira Boon develops site-specific textile solutions, and together with research institutes, they investigate technical innovations for 3D structures and sustainable textiles.
