ONE WEEK ABOUT Driving Dutch Design by curators Patrick Aarts Sen (BNO) and Katja Lucas (DDF). Over the next few days, we show the Drivers of 2024, Jelle Kok is one of them.
Jelle Kok is a graphic designer working in the fields of brand identity design and digital design. In 2014, he graduated from St. Joost in Breda in graphic design. Since 8 years, he has been working as an independent brand and digital designer. He loves working for authentic and ambitious clients who work from a passion with an honest and authentic story that may be brought to life. He likes design that tells a story, creates a dialogue or has a uniqueness.
“I like to think along with a client in terms of content and immerse myself in the theme, identity and ambitions of the client. From there, a well-considered concept is developed into a playful visual identity in which form and content are in harmony. Typography often plays an important role in projects because it is the first connection between words and a visual language that is created in a visual identity.”
“The reason I participate in Driving Dutch Design is to bring more focus to my business, work on my own business story and improve my entrepreneurial skills and gain insights in an inspiring group of desigerner from different disciplines. It helps enormously to do something like this in a group, because everyone experiences it in his/her own way and these different perspectives on it alone give a lot of new insights.”
Driving Dutch Design is the professionalisation and networking programme of Beroepsorganisatie Nederlandse Ontwerpers (BNO), Dutch Design Foundation (DDF) and Stichting Stokroos that helps talented designers get started in the world of entrepreneurship.
