As of August 29, visitors can imagine themselves in the futuristic and interactive world of Nxt Museum. The groundbreaking museum – which focuses entirely on new media art and emerging technologies – opens its doors to the public with the opening exhibition Shifting Proximities.
Located in Amsterdam-North, Nxt Museum offers on an area of no less than 1,400 square meters space to eight large-scale multi-sensory installations that are the result of multidisciplinary collaborations between national and international artists, designers, technologists, scientists and musicians.
Shifting Proximities occupies the entire exhibition space of Nxt Museum, including Nxt Lab – a space for experimentation, research and development, and also the home base to the museum’s ‘residency’ program – and Nxt Stage, with 320 square meters the largest space and a platform for innovative performances and audiovisual art.
