The neighbourhood association of one of the richest districts in the Netherlands wants to restyle their corporate identity. Nice. They called. Whether we wanted to pitch along with two other agencies for the job. What exactly the idea was, I asked. Well, that the three agencies would make a proposal and then they would choose who they would go ahead with.

How many hours can we spend on that? What can it cost? No, the pitch was not paid for. That’s not how it works …if you are chosen we will ask you to make a quote for rolling out the corporate identity.

álleburen is a social foundation. No profit, Everything and Everyone low budget. Very cool! By contrast, I don’t think the neighbourhood we’re talking about has a house that should cost less than a million euros. And then the neighbourhood association from that. 6 hours at 90 euros an hour I offered, but that’s too much. Well.

Years ago, there was the discussion about pitches. Whether it wouldn’t be better if no one participated in them. It’s ridiculous anyway. Check out the site or drop by sometime, I’d say. Of course it’s great fun to put three agencies to work and choose, but this is a bit strange. For a neighbourhood association no less. If you don’t have money; stencils, I say, if you do, don’t be so difficult. You also support a cool project.
