Maruxi is an artist/designer/maker who graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven last year. Maruxi experiments with the ways in which we can live in art and delves into a world in which objects seem to come to life.
“I have always considered myself an artist who went to design school. I approach making like drawing in a three dimensional manner and extracting a world that could be expressed in a detailed painting, into real life.”
“Through kinetics, scale and imagination, I enjoy to experiment with the ways we can live in art, diving into a world where objects seem to be alive. Working mostly from intuition/sketching with materials, I managed to find my sculptural identity: blendingalien like elements with organic forms, creating pieces that appear both futuristicand primal.
My work craves for interaction. An interaction where the boundaries between creator and observer blur. Where the viewers curiosity becomes the engine behind their experience.”
