On Friday, January 30, during VROAAM!, the annual Dutch career event for creatives, the legendary graphic designer Anthon Beeke was handed the Roots cahier, which is entirely dedicated to him.
This tribute, which was written by Bob Witman, begins and ends with Anthon Beeke’s telling statement: “The image always has the last word”. The booklet takes us through Beeke’s life and career, with special attention to his thought-provoking and often controversial posters.
The Roots series is a collaboration between [Z]OO producties and printing office Lecturis. The aim of the series is to pay attention to the roots of the Dutch graphic design culture. The cahier about Anthon Beeke is the 34th volume of the series.
