Rewarding product with designer duo Kranen/Gille & Weener XL ‘s-Hertogenbosch
Designer duo Kranen/Gille has designed a storage box with added value based on the activities assembling, screwing and drilling. The people working at Weener XL learn the trade of ‘mounting’ these boxes from a job supervisor and a person who has re-entered the job market as their instructor. The project reinstates the Weener XL workshop as a place of manufacture. Jules (maker): ‘I am now sorting textile, but I feel like a change. I can do more and I’m ready to learn something new, to make something with my hands. I’m good with details, I’m curious and I’ve got the patience of a saint.’
