Winner DuPho. SO Award 2025
The works consist of two series I have been working on over the past two years: We’re here, we’re queer and On Hold. The common thread in both is the right to exist. We’re here, we’re queer focuses on the Amsterdam queer community, of which I am a part. On Hold portrays trans and non-binary individuals whose lives are on pause due to the wait for gender-affirming care.
We’re here, we’re queer was commissioned by the Amsterdam City Archives as one of the selected projects for the 2023 photography assignments. The series offers a cross-section of the queer community, featuring self-portraits, close friends, and influential figures such as Valentijn Hoogenkamp and Alejandra Ortiz.

On Hold is an autonomous project, supported by Fonds Anna Cornelis. In the Netherlands, 7,000 people are currently waiting an average of three years for gender-affirming care. My series visualizes this waiting period and highlights the reality of this diverse and growing group.
My work is characterized by a raw and free style. My analog compact camera is my loyal companion, always within reach to capture moments as they are: honest, unfiltered, and urgent.
