A personal note from Joost. ‘In these hectic and heavy times sometimes I feel trapped between action as an act of loud protest or stillness and inner reflection. Working and making is often a way to clarity for me. At the studio I started to work on Collision to counterbalance the feeling of discomfort that probably so many of us feel right now’.
Collision is a collection of expressive objects in metal. Joost’s signature is physical and distinctive, and every piece is unique. In this production the designer considers the complexity of our fragile world and combining light and heavy elements, sturdy constructions with crashed and smashed metal parts, is finding balance and harmony from contrast.
