ONE WEEK ABOUT Driving Dutch Design by curator Patrick Aarts Sen (BNO). Over the next few days, we show the Drivers of 2025, Benjamin Onno Dikmans is one of them.

Rewild farming is a collective of regenerative practitioners dedicated to restoring ecosystems through innovative, community-driven methods.

Since february, we have been testing their prototype—the starter kit—in a pilot project located in an industrial zone near eindhoven central station. This project serves as living proof of what a bottom-up ecosystem can achieve when basic infrastructure and a central meeting point are made available.

The starter kit is a mobile workspace designed for ecosystem restoration and regenerative agriculture. It consists of repurposed shipping containers fitted with a range of modular elements — including workbenches, shelving and storage, a kitchen unit, power outlets, lighting, and an expandable scaffolding system. Designed for small-scale projects of up to 10 hectares, the space is adaptable to the needs of local communities and other stakeholders. The starter kit is complemented by rewild farming’s user-centered database, an ai-driven online application that facilitates context-specific knowledge sharing between initiatives, which is currently in being developed in collaboration with the TU/e and FABLab BCN.

Rewild farming, founded through a collaboration between Benjamin Onno Dikmans (Driver 2025) and Bram de Vos (Driver 2023), has the core aim of empowering communities to initiate practical land-based projects with a solid foundation of infrastructure and a network of knowledge, thereby bridging the gap between conceptual ecological awareness and practical contribution to the diversification of the agricultural sector.

Driving Dutch Design programme
Both founders have been participating in the Driving Dutch Design programme, which has helped to identify, clarify, and scale their and the projects professional stance. “For me it has been an enormous jump forward in terms of understanding and adapting my work and way of speaking to the context of entrepreneurship in the netherlands” says, Benjamin Onno Dikmans driver of design your business 2025.
