Design to Market – Talent Program. Over the coming weeks, Dutch Design Daily will be introducing the participants of 2025, today Pollyanna Moss.

Pollyanna Moss invites visitors to take a different look at one of the oldest and most versatile materials we know: wool.

In the Netherlands, more than 1.5 million kilograms of wool are discarded every year. Often burned or thrown away. While this natural fiber once formed the basis of our clothing, its value has largely been lost with the advent of synthetic alternatives. Wool: (Re)discovered puts this material back in the spotlight and explores how it can play a key role in the transition to circular and regenerative fashion systems.

Pollyanna’s work combines craftsmanship, ecology, and systems thinking. She researches and creates textiles using Dutch wool, employing both historical looms and computer-controlled machines. Driven by her fascination with the origins of materials and the role of shepherds and sheep in the ecosystem, she strives to shorten the path to hyperlocal, regenerative production.

During Dutch Design Week 2025, designer and wool expert Pollyanna Moss was part of the program Wool: (Re)discovered, organized by New Order of Fashion (NOOF).
