FASHIONCLASH Festival 2023 campaign
The campaign for the 15th edition of FASHIONCLASH Festival came to life in co-creation with young people (8 – 24) during a series of workshops at Centre Céramique.
They were invited to turn their ideas about identity into an outfit or wearable object during a series of workshops (April – May 2023) that took place in the Pop-Up Atelier at Centre Céramique in Maastricht. In the workshops, participants had the opportunity to experiment with different crafting techniques, such as sewing and upcycling. They were guided by local fashion designers to help them implement their ideas; Becky Doonan, Esmeralda Dijk, Helène Klein (House of HEEY), Julia Aumann, Maartje Boer (STRIKKS), Max Niereisel, Sanne Schepers & Anne Bosman (Schepers Bosman). Most of the materials used were from the FASHIONCLASH archive or provided by the textile sorting center of RD4 Reinigingsdiensten.
FASHIONCLASH Festival 2023
The 15th edition of the international and interdisciplinary will take place from 17 -19 November 2023 in Maastricht. During this three-day festival, a new generation of designers and performing artists from all over the world are given the opportunity to show their work to a broad (inter)national audience.
The program with an exhibition, performances, talks, workshops and fashion film screenings, showcases projects that explore, contextualize and celebrate contemporary fashion culture.
FASHIONCLASH Festival is all about discovering, stimulating and co-shaping current developments in fashion and opening up these developments to a wide audience. Participants of the festival belong to a generation of designers and artists who explore and question the boundaries of their discipline. With their works, they move between the transdisciplinary domains of fashion, social design and visual arts.
