26X26 TypeDesign – André Toet
Simultaneously with the presentation of the book Fuck Design, Let’s Dance, the exhibition ’26×26 TypeDesign – André Toet’ opened. This expo is a call for typographic experimentation. It doesn’t really matter whether you see it as ‘playfulness’ or a serious attempt to create legible letters, because this is exactly the challenge André takes up with his work. Sometimes it produces expressive letter images that are difficult to read, but intriguing in form. Other times legibility is more respected, but the form of expression is at least as important and expressive.
