Brera Design District

By 18-04-2023

ONE WEEK ABOUT Milan Design Week 2023
Day 1 – report by Aldana Paula Alegre

The waiting came to an end and we can finally enjoy a new edition of the Milan Design Week. First day was full of energy with crowded streets of design lovers. I choose Brera Design District and my first stop was at Nendo exhibition together with artist Daniel Arsham. It’s a tiny installation so you can get a tour directly from Nendo team.

Some must stop in this district are: the Orto Botanico di Brera, a beautifully arranged green area to take a deep breath and continue the tour in the hectic areas. An installation made by glo named “Dry days, Tropical nights”, a disruptive sensorial journey. Crazy interior intervention by Memphis is right next to it, so if you are going take a look too.

Wall&Deco made a full intervention from few streets before, on the catwalk and allover their interior showroom, and you can even get a piece of wallpaper as a gift, so nice! Just some minutes from there you can get to see the Triennale, with different special installations for MDW and some other from the museum itself. In the middle hundreds of small exhibitions can be discover, at the end the beauty of this week is that: walking and finding or being find by surprises.
