Driving Dutch Design is the professionalisation and networking programme of Beroepsorganisatie Nederlandse Ontwerpers (BNO), Dutch Design Foundation (DDF) and Stichting Stokroos that helps talented designers get started in the world of entrepreneurship. Over the next few days, we show the Drivers of 2023, Aniek Bartels is one of them.
She opens the doors to the enchanting world of children with her illustrations! Children are the future generations who will inherit the world. By guiding them towards personal growth, fostering love for nature, promoting sustainability, and encouraging a healthy lifestyle, we can help them become responsible and caring adults who have a positive influence on the world around them. And this is where Aniek’s magical translation art comes into play.
According to Aniek, illustrations stimulate children’s imagination and invite them to interact and explore. With a touch of humor, sparkling colors, and a deep understanding of the world of children, Aniek builds a bridge between the adult world and the wondrous imagination of children. “My illustrations provide a simple way to express complex feelings.”
Her goal is to collaborate with positive organizations so that even more children can be reached.
Thanks to her participation in Driving Dutch Design, she has been able to define her mission as an illustrator even more clearly. All the masterclasses have contributed to a more conscious way of doing business, and the trajectory has greatly inspired her.
