MOOD Installation – SchoK
POP is a companion that willingly allows itself to be positioned in my MOOD. An instrument to discharge my moods, embrace, conjure, communicate. Something I need much more time to do with words and, for example, my daily digital drawings on my phone.
POP exhibits moods, mine for now. Whimsical are my moods, likewise my work. Nevertheless, my visual language is recognizable and POP is like an old friend who has always been there. A fusion of my doll of the past with my drawings, my images. A tangible new icon of my reflection.
MOOD is an installation starring POP. MOOD challenges the visitor to communicate his or her mood through POP by changing the attitude. POP is for everyone.

I make because I have to. All my life, no escape. Making is like oxygen to me. Drawing, painting, etching, clay, photography, embroidery, sewing, assembly, cutting, pasting and more. Sometimes circumstances direct the discipline at other times the image or idea forces the choice. Despite receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Amsterdam School of the Arts, I consider myself self-taught in visual arts.
SchoK
The Schoorl Arts Foundation, or SchoK, organizes art manifestations during a long weekend in the North Holland dune village of Schoorl, featuring visual art, theater, film, dance, music, literature and poetry. The first ten times annually and since 2006 every other year, always around a hundred professional artists from home and abroad participate in this manifestation where quality and professionalism of the participating artists are paramount.
