high-profile projects of world top designers bring people and nature together again

Plastic from algae, water extraction from fog, ink of exhaust fumes or plasters inspired by the mucus of marine snails. All over the world designers allow themselves to be more and more inspired by nature, driven by the need to deal with our Earth and natural resources in a sustainable way.

A selection of the most advanced new insights and solutions is now on display in the international exhibition “NATURE – Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial co-organized with Cube design museum”. This comprehensive exhibition shows the world’s most surprising design innovations that embrace, support, and help nature forward.

The high-profile projects in the exhibition are created by international top designers, including Neri Oxman, Oron Catts, Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg and Mathieu Lehanneur. The Dutch design discipline is well represented with designers such as Klarenbeek & Dros, Atelier NL, Nienke Hoogvliet, Kirstie van Noort, Shahar Livne, Teresa van Dongen and  Aliki van der Kruijs Hoogvliet, Kirstie Teresa van Dongen and Aliki van der Kruijs. Many projects represent unique collaborations with biologists, engineers, farmers and environmentalists, as well as other experts.
