New website for Rialto
For almost 100 years Amsterdam film theater Rialto has been programming film screenings at the Ceintuurbaan – and is now known as the go-to theater for watching world cinema.
In the past years, the Amsterdam cinema landscape flourished, which brings new challenges and opportunities to the table for Rialto and its sub-brands. Rialto needed a strong brand identity and digital strategy that clearly expressed its unique position in Amsterdam and the international film landscape.
The result is a colorful digital identity and website that express the kaleidoscopic view on cinema that Rialto has to offer. The new wordmark is a nod to the historic logo on the façade and animated light leaks (a color defect in analog cameras) reflect the warm atmosphere of Rialto. Information categories are represented by their own color combination. The focus on warm and red tones give the visitor a playful association with the historical colors of cinema interior.
