REALmag. #9 Anders nog iets
On 18 February, issue 9 of REALmag. was published with the theme ‘Different’
Different has everything to do with the perspective from which we look at the world around us. With our tendency to label everything and everyone outside our familiar bubble as ‘different’. But the funny thing is: that applies to everyone. So we are all different!
For this edition, we as editors seriously tried to break out of our own bubble. We asked various writers, philosophers, artists, scientists and activists what is different for them, what should be different or who the other is.
This yielded many great conversations, stories, visions, perspectives, interpretations, answers and imagination. It was a quest that broadened our horizons. One thing we know for sure: from now on, different will never be quite the same.

REALmag. was founded in 2012 by Jan van Wessel (psychologist and designer) and Ab Bol (graphic designer). Each edition is a voyage of discovery around a theme that has to do with identity. The contributions to the magazine are all at the intersection of art and science.
