Sharieta Berghuis (1990) is an artist based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. After graduating from HKU (University of the Arts Utrecht) in 2013, she was the winner of the Hel Ved ‘New Documentary’ contest, setting the stage for her as a young talent.
Since then she has had various exhibitions at art fairs in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and was selected for the Dutch BankGiro Loterij Talent Collection of the Unseen Photo Fair 2014.
Although she has a Dutch passport, Sharieta Berghuis has lived in different countries, including South Africa and the USA. Most of her childhood and youth were spent in various parts of Indonesia.
