Somnox

By 16-06-2017

Julian Jagtenberg has together with robotics engineers from TU Delft (Delft Technical University) developed a cuddly sleep robot. It is meant for people suffering from sleep deprivation who are looking for an alternative for addictive sleeping pills.

The user just has to cuddle Somnox in order to fall asleep. When Somnox notices that you’re awake, it’s going to do all it can to soothe you back to sleep. The sleep robot can stimulate your senses with sound (lullaby/story) or breathing. You feel Somnox’s breathing when you cuddle it. Research has shown that falling asleep gets easier when you feel the movement of human breathing.

Somnox may also use light to wake you up.
