Part of OBSESSED! Jewellery Festival 2023 during the month of November. The festival focuses on jewelry-related exhibitions, lectures, workshops and open studios – in a program curated by Current Obsession, the platform for contemporary jewelry. Today we present the exhibition Ted Noten & co.
With the exhibition Ted Noten & co. – on value the internationally renowned jewellery designer/artist Ted Noten will celebrate his 30-year career. Noten questions the function of jewellery including associated themes like value, status and originality. His diverse body of work includes jewellery as well as installations and performances. Noten likes to kick against shins and step on sacred cows. He confuses and responds to the greed of man. All this with a refreshing dose of humour.
Alongside a representative selection from Noten’s work, pieces on the same themes by twenty-two emerging and more established artists are on show. Contributors to the exhibition are: Maarten Bel, Merle Bergers, Elsemarijn Bruys, Koos Buster, Das Leben am Haverkamp, Yamuna Forzani, Corrina Goutos, Kalkidan Hoex, Bastienne Kramer, Tirzo Martha, Jelle Mastenbroek, Ted Noten, Joyce Overheul, Lex Pott, Saar Scheerlings, Joana Schneider, Anton Shebetko, Sebastiaan Straatsma, Sanne Terweij, Studio Lernert & Sander, Georgina Treviño, Mart Veldhuis, Sander Wassink.
