Winner Harrie Tillie Award 2017: Studio Sabine Marcelis

By 07-12-2017

The Municipality of Roermond has granted the Harrie Tillie Award 2017 for young talent to Studio Sabine Marcelis. The Studio receives a cash amount of €1,000 which can be used for the development of the Studio’s own talent. The other nominees were Jólan van der Wiel and Noman studio.

Studio Sabine Marcelis works in an architectural way and examines the relationship between material, light, color and space. The interiors and the interior elements are perfectly completed and full of shine. The smart use of materials creates pure magic.

Harrie Tillie Award
The Harrie Tillie Award aims to stimulate the artistic development of talented designers. In this way, the Award is better in line with its namesake Harrie Tillie, between 1988 and 2001 curator of the Roermond museum. By awarding this prize the Municipality of Roermond also aims to increase the fame of Pierre Cuypers, to raise more awareness of his work and philosophy and to profile the Cuypershuis as a platform for contemporary interior design.
