Winner Limburg Design Award 2017: Formafantasma
The Municipality of Roermond has awarded the Limburg Design Award to Formafantasma, the studio of Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin. The award includes a purchase or a contract to the value of €7,000. The other nominees were Studio Drift and Overtreders W.
Formafantasma, the studio of Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, builds a bridge between craft, industry, object and user. Experimental materials research and a broad interest in cultures and culture use characterize the coherent body of work. A wide range of installations and products in various materials show their versatile talent.
Limburg Design Award
The Limburg Design Award consists of a purchase or a contract to the value of €7,000 carried out by the Cuypershuis in Roermond. This means that there will be ongoing attention for the winners of the Limburg Design Award in the permanent exhibition of this museum. By awarding this award, the municipality of Roermond also aims to increase Pierre Cuypers’ profile, his work and his mental legacy, and to profile the Cuypershuis as a platform for contemporary interior design.
