Cheerful greeting cards with illustrated poems
After their successful collaboration on the book ‘Het is gezien’, Frans Lasès (texts) and Peter van Hugten (drawings) are coming up with something new, a series of exclusive and beautifully designed greeting cards. The first ten Ulevellen have just been published by publisher Frapé.
The A-5 size double cards offer space for a personalised text on the back. This allows you to make not only yourself but also others happy. The edition is limited.

Frans Lasès (Amsterdam, 1949) worked as a television designer at the NOS for over seventeen years. He taught for many years at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Arnhem and Utrecht. For eighteen years, he devised and directed numerous programmes for VPRO’s Villa Achterwerk. He also published twelve children’s books and in 2023 his columns were collected.
Peter van Hugten (Amsterdam, 1949 – 2023) drew for the Volkskrant for more than 40 years. His drawings are widely praised. He taught at the Royal Academy of Art in Den Daag and at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. He also illustrated for magazines and books.

On 17 December 2023, Peter van Hugten passed away in his hometown of Amsterdam at the age of 74.
